The Robomop is a lightweight budget robot cleaner designed for cleaning hardwood and smooth surface floors. It doesn't suck up dirt in a conventional vacuum method but instead uses motion and electrostatic power to attract dust and lint to its cleaning pads. This low-tech approach means you get great clean surfaces and all for a fraction of the average vacuum cleaner price.
Robomop has none of the 'bells and whistles' you would associate with a more expensive robotic vacuum. You can't program the mop to clean certain area or set up a cleaning schedule. Its only real user adjustable function is to allow you to set how long a session you want the Robomop to run for. Robomop does not have sensors to protect it from banging in to objects and falling down stairs. Instead you must block dangerous areas with chairs or plants!

Although described as a mop, the Robomop is not designed for mopping up large areas of water. Sure it can defeat a small stain or spillage but under watery conditions it might just break. Robomop's real power is in the electrostatic pads it uses to clean. The friction from the little floor cleaner's movement creates a static charge that sucks dust to the pads, where it is retained in small pockets. This means the plucky little device collects dust, hair and lint from the floor and can also attract any nearby dust it might kick up in to the air.

Compared to many higher priced robotic vacuum cleaners, the Robomop, available at around the £30.00 mark, SHOULD consider itself lucky to even be on our website. Compared to the high spec futuristic range from iRobot, with its intelligent design and programmable functions, the Robomop SHOULD consider itself lucky to even clean an iRobot's boots. However, the Robomop IS included on this site! Why? Because in a cleaning competition the Robomop can easily hold its own against even the most mighty roboti vaccum from iRobot, Samsung or any other make!
If you need a no frills budget robot vacuum for your hardwood floors the look no futher than the Robomop. Its simple yet clever design allows this crazy little mop to reach all sorts of corners.
